TV19 Offers Volunteer & Internship Opportunities!

We love TV19 volunteers and interns!  Without their help, many On Location productions – especially those utilizing the production truck – would not exist. Many OLTV19 volunteers have been with the department since it started in 1999 and new volunteers are being added to the On Location roster each month.

Our volunteers receive professional training from On Location staff and are encouraged to “touch” the equipment and learn by doing hands-on production work. From operating cameras to learning how to do sports replays and operate the audio board and editing, OLTV19 volunteers gain skills and friendships that keep them coming back for more and/or lead them to careers in the field of media production.

Paid opportunities are also provided to volunteer crew who demonstrate advanced levels of production abilities. These productions are typically more involved and require the skill set of those who need little to no direction in operating production equipment.

On Location also works closely with area high schools and colleges in providing opportunities for internships in media production.
